The Tacoma Lawn Bowling Club, a longtime community fixture since its founding in 1929, will celebrate the start of its 2025 season with a free Open Day on Saturday, April 26, from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Wright Park (entry via 6th Avenue).

Lawn bowling is a strategic, social, and accessible sport played on a finely maintained grass surface known as a “green.” Tacoma’s historic green has been at in the park since 1936, opening in that year thanks to fundraising efforts by the local community. Today, the Club boasts a growing membership of over 50 individuals and proudly partners with Parks Tacoma to maintain the green and offer inclusive programs for adults 18+ and all skill levels.
